Important Health Plan Update

About a year ago, Cleveland Clinic took over many local hospitals in Florida. The info below may apply to a lot of retirees either living here full or part-time. 

 Dear Patient, 
 We want to share an important update with you as our records show that you or someone in your household may have a UnitedHealthcare plan. 
  At this time, we are discussing a new contract with UnitedHealthcare that may impact your in- network coverage for the care you receive at Cleveland Clinic. If an agreement cannot be reached, your financial responsibility may increase because your insurance will no longer cover care received at Cleveland Clinic as an in-network facility. 
  Please know that nothing changes for you right now and you can continue scheduling appointments for care as you normally do. We are working hard to reach a new agreement and it is our goal to avoid any changes that would disrupt your current healthcare coverage. 
  Here’s what you can do: 
     *  Call us at 800.732.3210 to speak with a representative who can help you better understand your options. 
     *  Visit ChooseClevelandClinic.org to learn more. 
     * If you have a Medicare Advantage or Medicaid plan: To guarantee you have in-network Cleveland Clinic coverage in 2022, we encourage you to consider your options during open enrollment in the coming months and to verify whether your chosen plan includes Cleveland Clinic. 
     * If you have coverage under an employee health plan: Speak to your employer about options during open enrollment and for updates about your in-network status and out-of-network benefits.
 We are committed to you and your care and will continue working with UnitedHealthcare to try to reach an agreement that will mean no changes to the care that you have come to expect from us. We will keep you up-to-date about our ongoing negotiations and as new information is available.
