Final Patrol: Zone Sergeant Peter R. Arteaga

Received the following from one of our CNY members, and so far can not locate an obituary online.

Peter R. Arteaga died on July 4th; he was 75 years old.  Pete graduated from Homer High School in Cortland County and served in the U.S. Air Force.  While in the Air Force, he was trained as a K-9 handler and completed a tour in Viet Nam, where he was assigned to base security.  In 1970, Pete entered Division service.  He served most of his career in Troop "C" and was the long-time station commander at SP Ithaca.  For several years, Pete was a NYSTPBA non-commissioned officer delegate.  He retired as a zone sergeant in 1998 and shortly afterwards Pete and his wife relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC.  

It appears there will be no services.
