Investigator Michael Bruggman
Mike started off his law enforcement career as a Security Police Officer in the United Stated Air Force. He graduated from the USAF Security Police Academy in 1991. In 1994 Mike was honorably discharged as a Gulf War Veteran with the rank of Sergeant. Immediately after leaving the USAF Mike was hired by the New York State Police. Over his 24 years with the State Police Mike has been a SFST instructor, DRE instructor and computer crimes specialist. He has been a patrol officer, academy instructor and a trainer for officers in the field. In 2004 Mike was promoted to the rank of Investigator and has been assigned to the Video Lottery and Gaming Unit, Gun Investigation Unit and the Community Narcotics Enforcement Team. for over 12 years Mike worked as an undercover police officer and is an instructor at the Undercover Operations School. In 2001 Mike was name Trooper of the Year and in 2015 was named Investigator of the year. After 24 years with the New York State Police, Mike retired in 2018.
